Does interview with 2 PhD students means you will end up waitlisted? or there is still chance of admission?

Has anyone who was invited for the interview decided not to attend the interview because you were admitted elsewhere? Is it rude to decline interview even before a final decision is made?

No funding

TPB: A lot has happened during the last 2-3 weeks, but 4 have received an offer. So, do not lose hope. But, emailing the department would be a good idea. sometimes they send rejections after 15th April. it's better to know where you stand in their list and plan accordingly.

TPB: Rice has a very unique admission process. it very hard to say. I would suggest emailing the department.

For those asking for interview questions, first, PhD students have no access to your applications. That is to say, they will not know anything on your background and experience. PhD students are just going to ask some easy questions and record the interview for admission committees' review.

Got an email indicating interview by two PhD students.

Received a notification. The interview will be conducted by two current PhD students.

TPB: Congratulations! Would you mind telling us when you uploaded the course information? A few days ago, some applicants received an email from Dr. Eraslan stating that they have not finalized the second round review. I am wondering if they have created different polls of applications, and they are still reviewing the materials uploaded on 16 Feb.

I had a video conference with Prof. Eraslan and have been admitted with full funding.

I'm the one who posted that I got a request for an interview and the course info. I Just finished the "interview". It is not an interview. They just video call to inform me that I receive a fully funded 27k stipend offer. Finally an offer after 4 rejects and numerous ir. Hope this help.
