TPB: i am sorry to say but I was notified by Vickie that if you didn't receive admission or waitlist, you are rejected.

I've rejected fully funded offers (Maryland, UCLA) or taken myself off the waitlist at these programs. I've accepted an offer at UC San Diego. Good luck everyone!

[Not WL] Application Status in the portal changed to "Under Grad School Review." Did anyone ever figure out what that means?

TPB: Congrats. Do you think that only a few admitted students are received funding emails? Have anyone received any contact from Vickie Flecher or professor Boragan Aruoba regarding the waiting list? Too silent, is it normal?

Asked about the status and was informed rejection. If you still didn't heard anything from them, it is a rejection.

TPB: sorry actually maryland's funding has not been confirmed, at least not in my case. The official letter is not a sign of funding being secured. what a weird year.

Anyone off the priority waitlist? Haven't heard anything from umd.

TPB: I was accepted a month ago but they were not offering any funding atm to anybody(at least it was stated that way in the letter). Boragan Aruoba sent an email late March asking if I'm still interested if offered full funding, and I replied yes. Received an email yesterday asking me to check the portal since the decision has been made, and the official letter was there. There was no info on funding in the official letter, but they mentioned the funding in the dept acceptance letter in March.

TBP: Would you mind sharing if you were officially on the WL before you got the offer on the site? Did you attend the visit week, and did you just check the site randomly or you got a mail? Thanks!

Finally receive the official letter on the portal. Was contacted by the adcom chair last week asking if I'm still interested. No funding info on the official letter but appears to be fully funded by the letter from department in early March and communication from adcom chair.

My status is still under review. Is that the same for other applications?

TBP: Nope. The coordinator mentioned the waitlist is gonna move around April 1st. People are holding on to more offers, even if not dominant, until the very end. It's a weird year.
