Graduate School Admission Results

It's the result I expected given the state of the research proposal I submitted at the time.

I have seen I received a conditional offer from the Applicant Self-Service Portal. However, I have not received anything by email and no words of funding for the moment.

To answer the question about the interview for POLIS... Yes, I was interviewed at the very beginning of March!

US BA & EU MA both in philosophy (research interests are in political philosophy). Feels nice to be accepted but no information about funding.

Completing the MPhil (Political Theory) at Oxford this year. Offer conditional on distinction in MPhil thesis

I was waitlisted for the doctoral program, but admitted to the Masters program with a full-tuition scholarship and a stipend of $2,500. Don't plan on going unless all of the other six places that I applied to refuse my application.

Submitted application - 04/01, invitation for phone interview - 15/01, interview -18/01, changed to "awaiting approval from GAO" on 08/02. To the poster below - I believe this means we have been offered a place by the department but it needs to be formalised by admissions.

my.newschool.edu displays the 'admitted students' tab and the congratulatory note but nothing on the admission hub and no email yet. anyone else can see the tab/got an email?

To the POLIS poster below - I don't think the department has told anyone who has been nominated for funding. It hasn't come up on here or the Student Room. Did you speak to the department about it? Do you think they would tell us if we ask whether or not we were nominated?

To the poster below - do you mean that the department notified people that they nominated them for funding, or that they sent out their shortlists to the Trust and Research Council?

If anyone hears about funding, please let the rest of us know!

Any DPhil in Politics applicant received any updates? This whole week passed with anxiety. Almost gave up on this option... But you know I would want to see the outcome no matter how bad it gets.

Something is not right with the DPIR. There are some results from the Master's applicants, but no news yet of anything from DPhils applicants. Come on, Oxford, the 8-10 weeks is now up, put us out of our misery and give us an answer one way or the other.

DPIR: should we expect anything tonight given that it’s after 5pm? Or should we just chill and wait until Monday?

Congratulations those who were admitted to Oxford's Department of Politics today! If only they would email all applicants on the same day... Did they tell you when you'll hear about college placement?
