Graduate School Admission Results

Anyone heard of any waitlist movement at all? Getting way too close to other deadlines at other schools.

NOT AN INTERVIEW: I'm wondering if anyone else from BGSU received funding. I'm waiting for some type of notification of funding, whether it be funding pending, no funding, or if I'll be getting some... just a bit confused lol.

Happy to see my efforts were not wasted. A month ago, I was dreaming to get this admit, but along the line an incredible offer came along. I already have commitments elsewhere.

Rejected post-interview. I was waitlisted for a while and I reached out today and was told to consider accepting other offers. 17 students were interviewed for only 4 slots.

Previously waitlisted, was notified today that I would not be admitted.

Accepted without funding

(Not waitlist) TTPB(Mcgill physics):They might make some offers off the waitlist towards the end of April. The professors haven't been responding to emails (hep-th), so it's hard to determine exactly how many offers will be made. I guess we just wait patiently.

I have removed my name from the waitlist last week. From my conversation with the program director, it seemed that I were likely to receive an offer off the waitlist. But, I don't know whether this was reality or they were doing this for the sake of politeness. My understanding is that there will be at least some movements in MSU's waitlist, but I don't want misguide anyone. Professor Elder seems a highly approachable person, and it might be good to ask them for your status if you are highly interested in the program and you are on the waitlist. But still, that's my opinion and I don't want to misguide anyone. Hope everyone gets offer from their desired places. Best of luck !

Didn't get a reply from the coordinator. I don't know. I guess in a couple of days we will receive a formal communication.

ignore acceptance. TTPB: I was never notified that I was on a waitlist. I reached out to the department about a week ago and the a couple days later received an email asking if I was still interested and then today got an admissions offer!

Still waiting on interview offers to be sent, SGS portal hasn't been updated yet. Does anyone know when they'd typically send interviews and final offers for the March deadline? (Domestic Applicant)

TTPB: sorry to hear! I hope you find a beautiful path in your other option! If you don't mind to share: were you notified by email or website? Was it the POI or the Director of grad studies? Any information may help a still waiting candidate!

I sent an email asking about the status of my application. 15r, 0p :(

Well, at least the coordinator is straight-forward about it. Emailed the coordinator and they said the official letter may come tomorrow on the system. Had epsilon expectation after learning that I'm not invited to visit day so it doesn't hurt too bad.

To anyone admitted and not attending, please decline if you can.
