TTPB saying my argument is faulty: Lol, wish you had better ability to analyze arguments! 1. If you open the link cics.umass.edu/admissions/prospective-graduates, you will see it is March 30. If another link is saying March 15, that is an inconsistency on the uni's end. 2. I know the meaning of "rolling". Maybe you don't know what "staying patient" or "being polite" means.

I see a lot of questions about MS admission decisions for UMass Amherst. Though the spire portal says that the avg. time to make a decision in 6-10 weeks. Their website clearly says "Fall admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis starting January 15 and ending March 30." -https://www.cics.umass.edu/admissions/prospective-graduates We may have to wait for a little more time. Non-EU Applicant. Rejected on grounds of being an ECE undergrad :/ Got notification 4 weeks from application submission.

TTPB: I am a MMathCompSci at ox; do not read anything into delays and other people's acceptances/rejections, Oxbridge postgrad admissions are very much done on a rolling basis regardless of what the website says. It is far from unusual for funded CS PhD opportunities to suddenly appear on the dept website in June or even in the summer, though if you are admitted through that stream you might be college-less (in the Oxbridge sense) for a year and live next to the train station.

When I try to log into the portal, it says the portal is offline. Wondering if other people have encountered the same issue?

Had a chat with a potential advisor back in Nov 2020. He was impressed with my resume and skills, said he will recommend me for admission.

Extremely surprised, figured all offers were out. Decent CS undergrad, quite a bit of research but mostly unrelated. Very excited for this one!

TTPB: Did you apply to the january deadline? Was it for engineering science?

Spire says - "Depending on the size of the applicant pool, it typically takes six to ten weeks from the application deadline for the program committee to communicate their admissions recommendations to the Graduate School." It's 9 weeks since application deadline today!

TTPB: I submitted my app on Jan. 13th and was admitted on Feb. 12th without an interview. My area is CV/ML. Visit day isn't until the end of March, so I am assuming this is the first batch of acceptances, specifically for admits who received a fellowship and summer RAship.

TTPB: For CS Ph.D. offers, may I know when you completed your CS Ph.D. application? Any interviews before the formal admission? Any info for the CV/ML track?
