impersonal email from Registrar’s Assistant. CC'd two POIs.

I had an interview back in February, but looks like it's not to be! My POI informally emailed me -- all admit/waitlist spots have been offered (certainly for sociocultural and probably for other branches too), so if you haven't heard from them, it's game over

To the Yale Anthropology posts - do you know when the official notifications are supposed to reach applicants?

The informal email I received stated that I should have received the official offer by now, but nothing so far. I'm guessing it must be some kind of bureaucratic glitch. There was no mention of whether or not all admitted applicants have been contacted. When I interviewed, I was told that I would hear back at the end of the month actually.

To the Yale posters, who contacted you - DGS or POIs? Was it an impersonal/mass email or a personalized one? Trying to gauge if all interview requests have been released. Thanks!

re: interviews... I applied for sociocultural, but the email makes it seem that all emails have been sent for the entire anthro department. The email started with: "See the message below from the Coordinators of Doctoral Admissions, Sociocultural, Linguistic, and Medical Anthropology at Yale". Perhaps more emails are on the way? I'm not sure, sorry!

For those who interviewed, do you know when we are supposed to be informed of results? Or has anyone who interviewed heard anything yet?

Re: Yale interviewee below: During my interviews they told me we should all hear back by the end of February, mid-March at the latest. Just hang in there!

Some people have multiple interviews because their faculty of interest weren't able to do one joint interview due to scheduling conflicts. The number of interviews you have has no bearing on whether or not you'll get in.

Email to check application portal. Not surprised or sad, I am a linguistic anthropologist and they have a very weak program for that. Only applied to appease my advisor. Good luck everyone else!
