ME CSE rejection

1 interview and got oral offer in interview.

I did not get an interview. Master's is my highest degree. 3 years of work experience. 1 research paper.

ML theory. Rejected with no interviews while admitted to UW and CMU.. Really disappointed because I thought Harvard fitted me the most..

No interviews, no GREs, no prior contact to professors. Rejections came out in waves, I was in the third. I heard professors pick the students to be admitted at this school.

E-Mail to check portal. Admissions were sent first, wait-lists second, and this is the first wave of rejections. Didn’t interview, didn’t reach out to professors, didn’t submit any GREs, IELTS was waived.

I had an unofficial interview with PoI in SOP on 1/7 and received admission on 2/6 with full funding & small scholarship (no additional interaction from 1/7-2/6). CompArch/Systems with 1 A* 2nd author pub and 1 A* 1st author submission (under review) and very close research interests with PoI (got to know him because we had papers presented at the same session during the conference).

No interview. Computer Vision.

~10th ranked CS undergraduate institution. One publication in different subfield and one second-author preprint in same subfield as application. Did not take GRE.
