Graduate School Admission Results

Got an email from POI this morning about the decision. Just got the official offer through an email notifying me of status change of my application.

Went to interviews. What a giant waste of time and money.

Received TAship and GRA Supplement Scholarship.

STILL IN SHOCK!! 3 strong LOR, no publications (manuscript in review), no GRE score, incoming with a MS.

Has anyone heard from them?

Had not heard anything, I checked my account and was waitlisted

I haven’t received a single notification from this school since I submitted my application. I called a few weeks ago and they said I was still under review, and that I should know by April 15th. I know it’s only been a few days but they’ve been so uncommunicative and it’s so frustrating. I’ve accepted another offer because of the deadline I was given, but I’m just really disappointed with this school and their inability to just let us know what’s going on.

If you are still “under review” that means you are basically waitlisted. I’m in the same boat, but I am still hopeful it will work out because I have been rejected by four and are officially waitlisted for one program and unofficially for this one!

Interviews Feb 10 & 11

An email sent with instruction to check the admission result on the system. Rejection letter on the system was generic, stating that "the number of qualified applicants to our programs far exceeds the number of new students who may be accommodated, resulting in an extremely competitive admission process."

Yeehaw!

SLPA for 3 years. Volunteered with my state speech organization, and two different Spanish language groups. Very excited! This is a wonderful program! I'll be waiting to hear back from a couple others to see if I can get into a program closer to my home state. But very honored to be accepted! 3.5 CSD gpa, 3.0 cum GPA, 3.7 last 60 hours, lots of volunteer and clinical experience.
