Graduate School Admission Results

Reminder now that open houses are coming to an end: please reject all offers that you are no longer considering. Of my 6 offers, I have rejected the 4 that are strictly dominated. Those of us on waitlists would like to be able to make a decision so that our other offers can be passed down to others on waitlists. We only have a couple weeks left until April 15th.

No connection, no admission, hehe.

Is it only my impression or waiting lists are moving pretty slowly, more than previous years? What can we expect in the following days?

To all the undecided: I'd never asked to decline offers before since I understand that it is a privilege that was well earned and deserved. But as the end of the season is near, and my only option to go to gradschool is to get off a waitlist is that I'm writing you to please, please make up your mind or at least release the least exciting offers, so others like me can get a chance to get into a program. In my case I'm on University of PITTSBURGH waitlist, so any of you that know that are not going there, please please decline, so I can have a chance. Many, many thanks!

I have seen too few offer declinations on this page in the last two days. C'mon offer holders, it's April 15! Don't take other hours to think about which offer to take, you have had plenty of time to consider all your options. There are tons of people on many waitlists right now, fervently waiting for you all to get a move on!

Guys, I am on the process right now and it has been really hard. Do you believe that the age is a problem? I am 32 years old and I feel that competing with person of less than 30 years is hard. What age do you believe is the best for applying and what is the cut off?

To the posters below: I am over 40 and got two offers last year. My opinion is to increase your journal papers. You are still young, so please don't give up.

People can you please add some info about your profiles when you submit, even if it is vague? It would be much more helpful.

Can you tell me that what is the "exact" time of the deadline, April 15th? Say, should I answer to the schools until 23:59 April 14th in the time zones of the schools? Somebody says "midnight"... then what is the "midnight"? Until 00:00 April 16th in the time zones of the schools? Help me out! (or just plz decline the offers you just hold)

Today is the deadline for most of the schools, if you have already decided to decline, please decline early today so that we have a chance too.
