Graduate School Admission Results

I didn't have the best undergraduate GPA obviously but I had very strong essays. It also doesn't help that I don't have any professional experience in a related field. Hoping to re-apply next year.

MS CGPA 4/4. 13 publications. No communication at all from the beginning.

Domestic + In-province applicant

got waitlisted pretty early on. Got an email from the department and was told that the admissions committee really liked my proposal, but had to contend with seats. was placed pretty high on the waitlist from what I am assuming. No final decision yet but department said that at this point they can only offer me a seat if someone drops out. if anyone is thinking of withdrawing please message me :) trying to see if there's a chance or if I should accept a different offer.
