GPA 4.1/4.5 GRE V153 Q165 W3.0 TOEFL 97 , no papers , no working exp, some projects including 2 capstone projects. Uploaded Personal Essay and research proposal as additional documents. Applied jan 12 with software engineering internship, fresh out of undergrad

Well... It is what it is. 2 AAAI, 1 ICLR and 1 Springer Nature paper. 1 in review at TPAMI and 1 in review at ICCV. Strong LoRs from Google Brain and Institute Chair Prof at IIT-Bombay. 1 year full-time research exp at IISc, 1 AI startup internship, 2 research internships at top-tier labs, 2xGSoC in AI/ML. Strong research fit with profs and several National Awards. I guess I must have worked harder. The 2021 cohort is more competitive than I expected. Congratulations to those who made it!

Was rejected for Spring 2021. Re-applied and got accepted.

Only admission has been offered. No info regarding funding. POI has been assigned as the initial advisor. Professor nominated me for the Kummer I &E doctoral fellowship. March is almost over...still no update.

Received a rejection letter through email. Interviews went well, but many factors are taken into account and most don't have anything to do with us. For other rejections: don't let this define you. Good luck with your life!

Can any of the MSCV candidates who were rejected mention any stats if provided in the email?

Disappointed. Apparently there were just 20 admits because of the deferrals. Deferrals are playing a huge role this season and affecting admissions. And, its surprising that the email states that there were only 350 applicants, last year it was 670. No clue how it fell down
