Graduate School Admission Results

This is not a real application. I am using this site in my data science project for my portfolio for grad school but did not want to risk exposing anybody's real results when I demo how I pulled data from this site so I am submitting this to have my own submission to show in my demo.

Automatic acceptance

What is the craziest part about this freaking late update is not only its late, but there has been no update and response in the past 8 months (emailed them to enquire but I guess no one care so no one response). It's July already! This is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to a student who truly likes this program so applied it. Definitely disappointed but feel ridiculous more now.

Applied in mid April, rolling admissions closed May 1

I guess I needed more research experience

I was wait listed. I checked the application portal by chance only to discover the rejection notice. Ivy League graduate - my application was admittedly weak as my SOP and such sucked. Also, WEAK recommendation letters.

3.1 CUM GPA but 3.9 for fourth year. Applied very close to the deadline (May 13th and deadline was May 15th)

Rejected off the waitlist in April, then an offer unexpectedly in June! So excited.

ApJ paper in prep. Applied for PhD program (and their funding) with astroparticle physics advisors, was deferred to Master's program (with no funding offers) and assigned the graduate program director as my "initial advisor" (nanoscience research). Sorry on the late notifications, but I emailed the director to inquire about funding and haven't heard anything. I saw there was a physics PhD rejection so I'm wondering if anyone else got deferred and if there might be a pathway to a MTU PhD. I'm still waiting to hear back from post-baccs and funded master's so my decision is still pending
