Is there anyone who has been accepted who is not planning to attend?

Rejected after being waitlisted. Said they would consider my application for next year, should I apply again.

Waitlisted-hoping to attend.

Rejection with somewhat of a reference to the MA program? They stated I might be eligible for a partial tuition discount should I apply for the MA, but the details remained vague.

Rejected from the waitlist. In the waitlist email, they said I was “very high on the waitlist,” but that they were “waiting for the 2024-2025” budget announcement. Alas, they weren't able to admit more than the 2 students who accepted. 1a/1w/1i/4r/2p

Ignore rejection since it isn't official. I just want to comment on how unprofessional UNC is for not notifying applicants of their rejection when acceptances/waitlists went out over a month ago. Applying to graduate school is a long and arduous process; the least a program can do is be timely with their rejection notifications and not ghost applicants.

Got no email, just checked the portal, so date might be wrong. A little unfortunate I didn't get the email, would've liked to wish them well. Already accepted a great offer elsewhere :) Congrats to all who got in!!

Admitted with $18.8 K/year base funding and additional $17.5K BCGS scholarship. Planning to accept.
