University of Washington Graduate School Admission Results

Surprised that I got in! I'm an International applicant, fresh grad from Industrial design background. I have 2 internships, 1 volunteering experience. Top of the class, 15+ projects throughout, had only one project in UX and rest in Industrial design.

I have still not heard anything from the UW and I personally know another applicant in my subfield who got an official (rejection) letter almost three weeks ago, so I'm assuming that I am on a silent waitlist. DGS didn't respond to my email when I tried to ask about my status two weeks ago. Fingers crossed they'll at least give me an answer either way in the near future?

Can't believe!!! It's my dream university!

Does any one got offer from UW but have better place to go? Please decline it. It's my top and last choice.

TPB Everyone that attend their virtrual PhD day are waitlisted so there are at least 10 ppl in the list. Check with program director about your ranking and if it's not top the waitlist means nothing.

was told on the top of wl, to who has received the offer and have better choice, can you please reject asap? I have 0 ad so far, and I really hope to get in.

I am genuinely shocked I got in here. I'm an international applicant with 2.5 years of experience in market research and a bit of policy research, looking to transition into UX Research. No portfolio, no UX or tech background. I do have experience researching developing country users and some interesting project experience in online safety (online extremism and misogyny). I expressed interest in developing safer internet products. This is a dream come true!
