University of Washington Graduate School Admission Results

Very quick response time! Current UWB undergrad in the math major, excited to move onto teaching. Also got a scholarship.

Rejected after PI interviews. I appreciated talking with Kate Starbird in particular but my work was too qualitative for what they were interested in, based on a feedback email I received. I did my undergrad in sociology (3.9 GPA) and masters in information science focusing on design (3.95 GPA).

Rejected after PI interviews. Great interview with Jinha Lee, but I think they wanted to go in a different direction with PhD students since I'm more qualitative/design-focused in my work. Going to apply again this year! Undergrad in sociology (3.9 GPA) and MLIS (3.95 GPA).

Applied for both in-person/on-campus instruction and the completely online version of the program. I believe I am on the wait-list for the in-person program, but the email did not specify what version of the program I was added to the wait-list for.

Attended my undergrad study in the same field (nanoscience) at a stem-strong school. 4 research experiences + 2 internships + 1 co-op + 1 unrelated part-time work experience

Last 2 yrs GPA: 3.7

And then I got admitted to the program off the waitlist! yay exciting!

I needed this so much, unfortunately i just got rejected. Good luck to those still waitlisted.

Rejected after following up a second time. Pretty disappointing, but expected. Luckily, I got an MS offer elsewhere.

Accepted off the waitlist for their MedTrack!

Expected rejection, poor research fit. Received better offers elsewhere.
