University of Southern California Graduate School Admission Results

Final year cs undergrad (tier 3) from India, 9.5+ CGPA, 2 years of ML Research experience, 3 publications at decent venues (A*/A), average test scores, probably strong LoR's from advisors. Happy but the sheer intake of USC scares me :(

Interviewed with POI and was then told to free dates for visit weekend.

Received what looks like full funding (including TAships). Would love to discuss the program with fellow admits!

Received an email about the interview on 1/9/2022. Interviewed on 1/14/2022.

Had 2 separate interviews with the faculty members I mentioned in my application. I was told that I'll receive the decision letter in late Jan.

Rejected after being waitlisted since January with lots of promising interactions since then with admissions. Got an email to check the portal, which is where I saw my letter. This was my dream school so it hurts, especially after hearing of people they let in with lackluster stats, background, scores, etc. simply because of connections. Good luck to anyone still waiting on these guys. Save your $ and go elsewhere.

Applied Jan 12, took a long time but finally accepted!

MY FIRST ACCEPTANCE!! I thought there was no way I'm getting into a MS in CS program let alonw USC after being rejected from many lower ranked universities PHEW!

Just about 3 months later then everyone else lol. Not sure what happened.

Applied for Fall 2021 and was waitlisted on May, 11. Was offered admission for Spring 2022 and accepted the offer. Still waiting for the official acceptance letter + package. Anyone in the same boat?
