Finally, I got an offer email to check their portal! Offered admission with $25197 funding! TPPB: Finally, I got an offer too! However, my GSMS status is still "under review." What about your one? Do you know when they will update?

I was really hoping Alberta would accept me, well, it wasn't meant to be. Best of luck everyone

To the question poster - I was told by current students that, if my application was submitted before January and have yet to receive an acceptance, then it is a rejection. The faculty review applications on a continual basis and (will) send out all rejections around May. Have a Plan B, or C.

To the acceptance below: how long have you submitted your application? My application status for Fall 2020 entry has been saying "Pre-screening" since October!

Canadian, undergraduate at UCalgary. GPA converted. 2 REUs, 2 talks and 1 paper submitted.

Has any Political Science PhD applicant heard anything from UoA yet?

Notified by U of Alberta email account and NOT personal email. No mention of funding in official letter. Also U Alberta Bear Tracks is showing the admission decision.Grad GPA 3.29. Failed out of another higher-ranked Ph.D. program comp exams. Second try.

This is great! I spent like a thousand dollars on applications and documents. Got accepted everywhere in US BUT without financial support, and here they simply rejected me. It seems like I have to follow the backup plan, Germany.

Received email from a couple of professors if I am still looking to pursue graduate studies at Uof A. Told them I am sorry as I have already accepted PhD offer from TAMU. UG from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and GPA-7.62/10. one International conference publication

I was very disappointed, such a low class move made by alberta. Got acceptance from better places in US.
