Got the long, highly personalized email rejecting me from the PhD and accepting me to the MAPH. No funding, $200 travel reimbursement for the campus visit on April 10th/11th.

I got the famous long letter from Lawrence Rothfield telling me that I was rejected from the Ph.D. program and accepted to the MaPH program. They must be hungry this year. U of Chi is great regardless of my own choice, but I'd prefer to be paid than to go into debt.

Rejected, but admitted to MAPH. I'm not sure where my letter is, but I learned via an email that began: "By now you have probably already received an official letter…". Since tuition is $42k, plus $23k living costs, I'm refusing it.

Received an e-mail from the director of graduate studies titled "UIC-MFA-GOOD NEWS". A little misleading if you ask me.

I have a master's degree, so I imagine I wasn't considered for MAPH.

PLEASE decline the offer ASAP, if you are not interested in this program, so that I could be off the waitlist.
