Had two interviews earlier that went fairly well, but alas.

Ignore the status. I haven't yet received any notification from Chicago anthropology. Is there anyone who got any kind of response?

Had an interview last friday (1/26) and got accepted and offered the Neubauer Family Distinguished Doctoral Fellowship on Tuesday.

GPA is Masters. Received an email referring to the personal account and found a generic answer there. A bit disappointed since was encouraged by the POI before the application. Suppose that I was rejected because I have no historical background (art history instead) and IELTS writing 6.5 (instead of 7.0), other exam sections are better. But it is just a assumption. Good luck for everyone guys!

GPA is from my Master's/ 14 conferences (national/international) / 3 publications/ TA experience/ RA experience/ multiple research grants/ a bit bummed because a POI said I am a “good fit” for the program but it seems like this is just part of their “script” for prospective students

CMT: 1 First Author Publication, 2 Coauthor Publications, 1 Springer Book Chapter.

3.9 undergrad GPA, 4.0 Graduate. Two masters degrees in history with highest honors, multiple publications, internships, and conference presentations. Deferred to the masters, but I won't take an offer there as I've been accepted elsewhere with funding. Specialization in Modern European History
