Also HEP-ex and waiting. Looking at the Physicsgre.com forums, it seems that many people are still waiting on decisions for Cornell. Most people waiting seem to have offers from schools in the top 25 or better, but I would assume that a majority of us that are waiting will not be accepted. Perhaps I am too pessimistic...

TTPB: Cornell looks at each application fully, which a lot of schools don't do. So that's why it's taking so long. I heard this from a professor at Cornell. Have any education-focused people heard anything?

"In the field of Comparative Literature, we received a great number of very competitive applications this year. We regret that we have the funding to support only a few entering students."

Waiting on results! Has anyone heard back? On the website it says acceptances are typically made mid-February. I am assuming this Friday or Monday. What do you think?

TTPB who got accepted, did you get in to applied physics or regular physics? Just checking as I haven't seen any other person get accepted from the regular physics dept yet

TTPB: I applied to the Physics Department and have not received any news on my application status. Has anybody from hep-th/string theory has been accepted? Did you get an interview?

I haven't received any results from applied physics department of Cornell for now, typically does this mean rejection?

Talked to the department, they are planning to make all decisions next week.

So excited!! Received the email earlier today. No interviews. 1 First Author publication, 3 strong LORs, and previous research collaboration with one of the POIs. Focusing on cosmology/simulations.
