E-mail with notice of rejection. No interview, didn’t reach out to faculty prior to applying.

Knew chances miniscule, applied anyway but at least now I won't regret not applying

4 years of research experience, 1 2nd author publication and 8 poster presentations at national conferences. Went to Xavier University of Louisiana for undergrad. Visited under the selective Experience Cornell program in the Fall of 2024. Got essay reviews and met and connected with professors. I'm very surprised at the outcome.

Accepted with 12.5k per semester award. Significant internships and strong letter of recomendation.

I got interviewed on 02/04 and have not heard back anything (neither positive nor negative). For people who interviewed around the same time, is anyone else also waiting for a decision? Also, has anyone received negative/rejections already?

3rd on the wait list.

After what felt like an eternity of waiting, I’m excited to share that I’ve finally received my first acceptance! Honestly, my interview didn’t go as well as I hoped – I felt like the PI wasn’t too enthusiastic, almost as if they were going through the motions. But it turns out, I was totally wrong. It’s my safe school, but I’m still holding out hope for Berkeley and LTI. No rejection yet, so there’s still a chance I could be waitlisted because my interviews here went super awesome. Worst case, Cornell will be my next big adventure!
