SPH. One publication in review, mediocre GPA but graduated Summa Cum Laude. One of my LOR graduated from Brown. Expected.

No research papers. No GRE. Mostly awards. I didn't really expect this, especially considering the acceptance rate. I'm so excited :). No information about the funding yet

Received following message: Thank you very much for making time to interview with the Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry Graduate Program (MCBGP) at Brown University. I'm writing to give you an update on your application and interview. We received a record number of applications this year and were able to interview many strong candidates for the program, including yourself. Your application and interviews were reviewed favorably by the MCB Admission Committee, but we are unable to make you an offer of admission and your application status is "hold". The earliest we would be able to get in touch with you about a final outcome for your application will be in the beginning of April. We recognize that this timing is not ideal for you and we will get in touch as soon as possible with any updates. We sincerely appreciate the time you took to apply to the program and participate in our virtual interview day and we valued the opportunity to meet you.
