3A/1W/1R of 26. Portal rejection.

Asked area head for an update on my admission status. She informed me my POI had offered admission to another applicant and I was now on the wait list.

Received a congratulations email quite unexpectedly from ASU at 10:30 pm eastern. No word on funding but I'm hopeful an early acceptance means I'm high on the list.

Received acceptance in my promotions folder. Computer engineering (Electrical Engineering)

Accepted a few days after interview and waiting for funding announcements at the end of the month.

Had an interview, told I would hear back but had to read it on the website "we regret we are unable to admit you". Considering I had an interview and email communication with the director and professors for over a year I expected more than just a notice on their website without any email communication.
