I know I said this before, but this is literally the end of this circle for me.

They didn't even bother to send out rejection letters or any kind of notification about their decisions - had to specifically ask them just for a rejection. Totally messed up.

Expected a rejection since they ghosted me until the absolute last second- kind of a red flag anyway.

Reject off the waitlist

After two months of waiting, my application finally moved from the waitlist to a rejection! What I could say after spending multiple months working on these applications is that it's hard for first-generation, Global South's underrepresented communities.

I've been waitlisted for 2 months at my dream department at UNM. If you've received offers elsewhere and plan to attend, please consider declining the offer here. It's my final hope for admission. Thank you for your understanding.
