Political Science, New York University IGNORE STATUS - has anyone heard from NYU Political Science for PhD? Haven't heard anything (Accepted, Waitlisted, or Rejected) and I'm assuming this late in the game it's a rejection, but I'm holding out hope that it's not and just a silent waitlisting. Any updates?

Political Science, University Of Minnesota I am waitlisted singce early February. If you are admitted or waitlisted but planning to attend other PhD Programs, please let the Department know ASAP so that we can move off the waitlist. This is my application cycle and being waitlisted is full of uncertainty. Thanks :)

Political Science, City University Of New York (CUNY) Couldnt get any email or update; that's why I emailed at Graduate Admissions Coordinator. The email is also a bit unclear: "No change in the status of your application and your application to our program remains active. (It has not been rejected). However, we do have offers out to other applicants; those offerees have until 15 April to respond. Depending on those responses, we may issue further offers at that time. Seems that it means I was waitlisted but why it took so long time to notify applicants on this :/

Political Science, City University Of New York (CUNY) IGNORE STATUS. Someone asked about this program. I was accepted in February, next week there will be an open house event to get more information about the program. According to the information I have, all accepted students were invited. (Now, a two-factor authentication for creating an account on this web? WTF?)

Political Science, Rutgers University New Brunswick I wrote to Rutgers to get information about my application process. They told me that they sent all letters to both accepted and waitlisted students. They said that if I have not received a rejection letter, it could be possible to be accepted or waitlisted, but any new information will be only available on April 15th. In other words, I've been rejected. IR subfield. 2A/5R/2P

Political Science, Washington University In St. Louis (WashU) GPA is grad. Hate to be this guy but if anyone has options that they prefer over WashU please let the admissions committee know ASAP so people can move off the waitlist.

Political Science, University Of British Columbia As expected, because I have already seen classmates sharing the offers they received in the first round, and the results that were supposed to be announced by March 15th have been delayed, this situation is similar to what happened with UT (where I was later rejected). Throughout this journey, I realized that applying for Master of Arts programs in Canada is quite challenging for undergraduate students from mainland China. The main reasons are the limited quota for international students and the high standards for cultivating prospective doctoral students (similar to the MPhil programs in Hong Kong schools). Compared to the outright rejection from McGill's Thesis program, being placed on the waitlist by UT and UBC is itself an encouragement. Thank you, UBC, for being so supportive!
