Political Science Graduate School Admission Results

Applied January 15, interview January 29, received email on February 22 letting me know that they were offering a place in the programme but that I was on the "reserve list for funding". So basically waitlisted, without information on my position on the waitlist.

IR 5a/3w/4r no more pending

Comparative subfield, no GRE, strong references and grades + industry exp. in my research field. Informal email notification followed by formal offer via email too. Nice emails from two professors from the program. :) No word from UBC--Has anyone heard from them yet or know when they're releasing decisions?

Not surprised. Was notified that only a limited number of international students can be admitted.

Email to check portal. Admitted by UBC but rejected by UofT, which is a perfect fit.

I just got an update from UofT political science, waitlisted. My subfield is comparative politics. I am being waitlisted. So, if any of you plan not to go to UofT political science, please decline now for me. :'(

Was a great fit and had a great interview/meeting with the department chair -- no idea what happened. In the words of GMAIL responses, "Bummer."

Email from grad coordinator with formal offer. got an invitation to visit a few days ago, but got my offer today.

Was my top program, perfect fit, several publications, Ivy background, had promising contact with several faculty members and recommendation from former tenured prof at the department. GRE was probably too weak. Quite sad, but got into my second choice, so it is fine.
