Ignore status. Is there anyone else who is still waiting for the decision from NYU?

Just wanted to share that I’ve been waitlisted for the PhD program at NYU Abu Dhabi. If anyone holding an offer has decided to go elsewhere, I would really appreciate it if you could kindly decline your spot in a timely manner. There’s a potential advisor in the program whose research aligns very closely with my interests, and I would be incredibly grateful for the chance to work with them. Ignore status. Does anyone know how I can contact the department at NYU? I'm waiting on a decision from them, but have another offer that I'm being asked to respond to ASAP (on account of the funding situation). I assume it's rejection at this point, however this school is my first choice and I'm holding out hope. I tried writing to the Graduate Program Coordinator and "dgsphys@nyu.edu", and neither email address worked. I'd feel bad and intrusive directly emailing the department chair, and I doubt the general GSAS admissions email would be appropriate here.

Ignore status. Has anyone heard anything from NYU lately? I see that they sent out several acceptances in early February. Should I assume rejection?

Wooo! Notified by the program director via email, though it is not the official offer from the graduate school yet. No interview. My main interest is observational cosmology, and I did a master's program abroad on the subject.

I had interviewed with NYU AD on March 26, 2024. I have not heard back from them since. I mailed them a couple of times. They said they had not released a decision yet. I do not know why they have not informed me of anything yet. It is May already.

Has anyone on the waitlist heard from NYU?
