Philosophy, SUNY Binghamton I am from Iran and I am dealing with a lot of issues such as financial and socio-political problems. SUNY Binghamton is the only option for me. If I don't get off the waitlist, it will prevent me from studying philosophy due to financial challenges. Binghamton PhD program aligns perfectly with my academic goals and research interests in Continental philosophy. Specifically, Dr. Pensky's field of interests suits mine well. I am working on Adorno's thought which is not popular among mainstream departments of philosophy in the English world. This makes it difficult for me to receive a fully funded scholarship to study a PhD. If you have other choices to pursue your academic interests, please do not disappoint me in this last opportunity to study a PhD in my favorite program.

Philosophy, Purdue University-Main Campus Well, happen to know that someone with AOI similar to mine has just got in and the DGS just sent me a very indirect rejection. Was my only hope this round. Well, I should get a job.

Philosophy, Villanova University Accepted off wait list, got an email from the Grad Director. I'll be accepting and am beyond excited! As a short note to anyone who had a disappointing admissions cycle I applied to 7 programs and got flat out rejected from 6, then wait listed. I know not everyone has the time or funds to do this for multiple years in a row (I wouldn't have) but please if this is your genuine aspiration don't give up, keep grinding.
