Accepted for Non Thesis MS without Funding

Background: Electrical Engineering, 1 paper & 2 patents, 2 yrs R&D work experience in optics field. Formal meeting by admission committee on Jan 21, informal meeting with the potential supervisor on Jan 25.

No GRE, Published Paper: 6

MEng in Mechanical Engineering.

2 first author, 2 second author submitted article to international journals. 1 aps dfd abstract. BSc from Koc University. Direct PhD application. No interview.

Had two publications in relevant domains (Q1, IF: 5 and 4.4), two conference publications, and strong LORs, considered it one of the reachable options. I was topper in 3rd Year of my dept. still a rejection. Idk what has gone wrong with my apps.

MEng Program (Masters of Engineering Program)

Took around 2 months. Gave only TOEFL. Got a best paper award in an international conference. Also won some project competitions in College. Good SOP. Was worried of getting rejected due to low CGPA.

MEng with club founding / leadership experience (3yr), research (1yr), and solid letters of rec.

Ignore the status. Has anyone heard anything from MEAM of Penn Engineering??
