Mechanical Engineering Graduate School Admission Results

Applied for PhD, accepted for Masters/PhD. The mail says that we expect you to find a UM faculty member during your first year as a Master's student here who agrees to serve as your PhD adviser. Once we receive a mail from him, your degree will transition into fully funded PhD. Anybody know if it is at all practically possible to secure funding somehow to support myself through the first year? Would really appreciate the help. First decision out of 10. Fingers crossed.

I am rejected for their Ph.D. program saying that there are no more open positions available but they offered me admission to the Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) program. They also mentioned that there would be no funding for masters students. I need to think and take the final decision because the tuition fee is very high at JHU and it is a lot of money for International students like me to go and attend given that JHU is not that much reputed for their Engineering program. Can anyone give any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Are there any mechanical students who got results from UBC so far in this month? Still how long do they take to declare results?

Really surprised! Undergrad in physics, no papers, REU + some other research. So excited!!

One of my recommenders is a professor from OSU and another one graduated from OSU, I don't why I was rejected.

Vietnamese Undergraduate from Nanyang Tech Uni (Singapore) - top 5% (out of 700 students). 3 years working experience as Machinery Engineer in Oil&Gas (ExxonMobil Chemical). 3-year undergraduate research experience in robotics. 2 international journals and 4 international conference publication. Several hornors and awards in research and work. LOR from proferssors from MIT, Brown, NTU, SimTech (Singapore). Applied for a research in Turbomachinery/Gas Turbine (Tubomachinery and Propulsion Research Group)

Anyone got results from PSU mechanical engineering department ? Someone below said most of the results are expected to come out before March,15th.......

MSc GPA 3.91 (Top student), TOEFL 113 (S28), 1 Journal Paper Had a very good response from a faculty member there, however, it seems that wasn't enough.

No funding news..emailed the prof and GA..no one replies to me...seems they are not interested to talk to to me!!!
