Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University - West Lafayette Had an interview with a professor on 3/25. Received an offer of a research assistantship . Got recommended by prof for d-PhD, waiting for grad dept’s formal admission now.

Mechanical Engineering, University Of Michigan (Ann Arbor) Got rejection with an offer for master degree (without funding of course). I'm from Koc University. Had two first author(Q1), and two second author article submissions. Presented my recent research at the APS DFD which is the largest organization in my field. One of my reference was strong. Have a 2.5 years research experience at the same lab, and three months at MPI for Intelligence Systems. No interview.

Mechanical Engineering, University Of California, Santa Barbara Got into an IVY and some top 20 uni for mech. Still got rejected from UCSB which being my safe uni. I dont know why they rejected me. Doesnt matter anyway got into the uni I wanted.

Mechanical Engineering, Stanford University This is a school full of legacy admits and rich kids anyway. Meritocracy is a blatant lie, no matter how hard I work I still have to "pay the price" for being born poor and nonwhite in this miserable excuse for a country. All these prestigious schools are the same -- they admit a handful of working class folks to serve as "inspirational stories" who are given the privilege of pursuing a doctoral degree, and the rest of us rejects have to beg for jobs that refuse to pay us what we're worth; meanwhile Jeff who's never paid for a bill in his life gets hired because his dad knows a guy at the country club. I hope all rich people lose their wealth and learn to live on the street like the rest of us "undesirables".
