English Graduate School Admission Results

Grad GPA. Received an email telling me to check the portal because my application status had been updated. I was able to see my acceptance letter through the portal. Later received an email from the assistant chair with an assistantship offer and stipend information.

Rejection from PhD and acceptance to MA

Rejected from Ph.D. and accepted into MA in the same email.

50% department scholarship and 10% department award for tuition.

Form letter citing a high number of outstanding applications, etc. I emailed a question regarding how many slots they had, but no response (yet).

Hearing nothing, I wrote to the director of graduate studies requesting confirmation of my rejection, and he kindly responded.

Canadian Applicant. Thesis stream.

IGNORE INTERVIEW -- I assume it's a rejection, but I'm curious if anyone else is waiting to hear back from BU. Also, any idea why the wait?
