English, University Of Kentucky Received a totally unprofessional rejection via email with the title that I have applied to the MFA program, which is untrue. I regret investing my time in applying to this university. Should have invested the fee elsewhere.

English, Northwestern University Notified via email. No financial aid, but they're pretty open about that. They said it was a very competitive year, but April 14th notification was a bit too late for me. I probably won't be accepting. Best wishes to those who decide to go! 4a/3r

English, University Of Kentucky had heard nothing from the program, have accepted offer elsewhere but finally got a form-based email with the wrong program title and confusing language which I interpret as a rejection (even though it says MFA in creative writing). I'm sure there are great people at UK but this is a very poor representation of the program (notify 2 days before deadline, wrong form letter) for a program charging $65 application fees, you're really getting a raw deal

English, University Of Maryland I finally got the rejection today. It has been 3 months since the interview and a month since I reached out to the department for an update (with no reply), so I was expecting it. At least the email from the DGS was kind and personalized. After two seasons of being shut out, I think it is time to accept defeat, get a cat, and move to plan B. English, Texas A&M University - College Station (TAMU) UPDATE: "Thank you for your continued interest in the Ph.D. program in the Department of English at Texas A&M. Unfortunately, we will not be able to admit anyone from our waitlist this year. We wish you all the best in your continued pursuits." The program made 13 offers and had 6 applicants on the waitlist.

English, University Of California, Irvine Ignore interview— has anyone else still not heard a thing from Irvine? I’ve already accepted another offer so it really doesn’t matter but I’m just curious what’s going on. I sent an email to the DGS a couple weeks ago and didn’t hear anything back either. Are they just waiting until April 15 to send out rejections?

English, University Of Virginia Waitlisted and really hoping to attend. Please let them know if you've decided to accept another offer! You'd make someone very, very happy. As this cycle winds down, I hope everyone found somewhere that appreciates and values them :)

English, Stanford University Just a desperate last week before deadline plea for the admits who haven't given an answer to Stanford yet to please do so if you can.
