Economics Graduate School Admission Results

To the posters below, they asked me to keep them informed about my other offers but did not say anything about how large the pool is.

To the Columbia poster below: does "one was accepted onto Columbia's PhD" mean that the student will transfer to PhD program w/o reapplying?

Notified on 22nd of February, and have been in email discussion about funding and RA/TA positions since 1st of March. Has anyone had an official funding offer yet?

To the UWO posters below, I have contacted Dr. Conley and he said that "there is no final decision at this point. we made first round offers but have not decided whether to make any second round offers. my guess is that we will not make second round offers, but this decision will be made around april 7."

One of the first (partially-funded) offers made this year. declined just after I received since it didn't come with full funding. To the posters below: you're probably being waitlisted.(same went to me last year and then got informed in late March) Good luck to those on the wait-list.

Re: I am on wait list as well. I was notified on the 11th of march with an e-mail to check the website. I do not know my ranking. I tried to reach the department to find out about it but nobody replied...

In response to the poster below, they provided me a 5-year tuition fellowship, which I already accepted. I'm pretty sure they already gave out all the GCF full-funding stipends. The wait-list email I received made it seem like the full funding offers were already off the table, or at least they were for me. It was better than my other offers which were initially unfunded and would have me fighting for aid after the first year. I have a friend in the CUNY GC history department who entered similarly on just tuition fellowship but secured funding in his second year after making connections with professors and proving his worth. I'm hoping the same is possible in the economics department, but I'm happy with the offer either way. Good luck with your applications.

After sending email to ask my status, the department kindly answered with rejection. It takes 4 months...

To the poster below with status change, what is your ranking in their list?

Regarding Zurich GSE admission, does anybody know how many people still have to accept/decline the funded offers? The new deadline is apparently the 15th of April.
