Computer Science, Purdue - West Lafayette Purdue's Fall 08 Admission Fact: -> Like Fall 07, this time they offered around 20-25(MS+PhD) applicants in the beginning -> Around 90% of them declined Purdue's offer, as they have better offer from the top -> Then they offered some Masters students and only 2-3 PhD students without aid and told them that they will have that option once they are admitted. -> Some of the Masters students have accepted as those were their first admit -> There are still some slots are available, if I'm not wrong -> Purdue is really passing a bad time NB: I don't write these to hurt someone or I don't have any intention, not even I have a bad feeling about Purdue. It is just the information which I came to know from various reliable resources and want to share... Best of Luck...

Computer Science, University Of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Our situation is the same, here is their answer for me : "Our faculty expects to make final decisions on the remaining PhD applicants this week. We will inform you by email as soon as a decision is reached. Please note that at this point, the faculty is considering the remaining applicants only for admission. We do not expect to award any additional offers of financial support."
