TTPB: 3.79/4.00 seems to be a decent GPA. Which university in China are you from?

decent research experience, recommendation from a professor at ETH. I guess I should've done fancier robotics projects

Undergrad from China. Mid GPA, decent GRE&TOEFL, 1 ongoing research project, no paper. Guess I got waitlisted only cuz of my SOP, or it is only a courtesy waitlist...

TTPB - I am an MSR student (Fall 2020) and I can assure you that more than 1/3 of our cohort deferred their acceptance till Fall. They usually accept 90 people and more than 35 deferred till next year. So your spots were 90-35=55 to get into MSR. I'm sorry that's the case, it sucks to be in that position and you would've probably gotten in during normal times. Best of luck in your other applications and if not apply next year!

3 years of professional experience, 2 undergrad degrees: one in non-engineering, another in engineering, put as much as effort I could on SOP, 3 LoRs Is there any online community for admitted?

BTech (Mechanical) from India. Good GPA(3.7/4), LoRs. Did not have prior publications.

Visit week this year is entirely online. Whoever didn't get the interview, a rection letter is coming soon (in March) unless any accepted student didn't enrol
