Graduate School Admission Results

No email, checked portal and found updated status. 0a/1w/3r/2 pending.

For those in Poetry also waiting to hear from Irvine, I contacted the department yesterday (3/22), and was told by Sandra Mueller that poetry notifications have not gone out yet, and won't for about another week.

Checked the portal out of curiosity after perusing this site and found a letter dated yesterday. Unless I find out in the next two weeks, I'll be going either to Sarah Lawrence or Brooklyn College. Both are smaller programs where I was either offered more funding or am better able to afford. That's it for me! Best of luck, everyone. 3a/1w/4r

No email to check the website; just checked it on my own and I was rejected.

I posted already but I was waitlisted via email by a graduate assistant as well. I don't know if it was official but why does it matter if it's official or not? We still have to wait until April 15th :(

1a/2w/12r/0p My letter was dated 3/16/17. Hope you applicants already accepted will decide on where you are going, and accept and decline so waitlisted applicants can have a chance at a fully funded program.

Kind of relieved because now I don't have to send another "Sorry, but I've chosen a different program" email.

Email to check the website. Feels nice not to get a rejection, I suppose, but this still means that I can't actually plan for next year yet. Also assume this means that funding is out of the question.If you've been accepted and don't intend to accept your spot, can I please ask that you turn it down as soon as possible? It makes life easier for those of us on the wait list. :)

Very sweet and complimentary phone call from Nicholas Christopher on 3/15. Got an email today to check the portal, and found they're not offering me any funding. NYU and New School have both offered me 50% funding. Columbia was my first choice, but it'll be hard to swallow $100k in student loans, especially when the other two programs have been so generous with financial aid. 3a/3r

Accepted with $10k-per-year scholarship via phone call from Elissa Schappel; will be declining.

Email to check portal. For sure thought it was my rejection? Funding info in a week. Can't go unless there's some funding, but applied in the hopes of a fellowship. 2a/0w/2r, 2 pending.
