Graduate School Admission Results

Called because haven't hear from them regarding rejection, said still reviewing applications, does anyone know anything about this?

I've got a lot riding on this and would be forever grateful to anyone inclined to turn down his or her offer. Many thanks, faceless colleagues.

Oh well. My loss, but certainly theirs as well. Had a great meeting with POI. So far, this year I have found after 5 straight rejections that essentially: Don't get too excited about meetings with POI's that seem to go extremely well... the most they really amount to is, well, a great meeting with a POI. Stats: 3.85 GPA, awesome LOR, Extremely strong writing sample. Rejected. In the end we are after all, talking about Columbia right? ( :

I received an email notifying me that the decision was on Wolverine Access.

I think actually meeting faculty can make a big difference, which I didn't do at UW.

Had a great visit to department in December. However, I was not a good fit in research areas. Halfway expected this rejection... still hurts a little though. 4 rejections now out of 6 applications : ( Help me!
