Too young, not enough work experience

Submitted application - 04/01, invitation for phone interview - 15/01, interview -18/01, changed to "awaiting approval from GAO" on 08/02. To the poster below - I believe this means we have been offered a place by the department but it needs to be formalised by admissions.

GPA is grad. Bummer. Already accepted to one school that is a great fit with great funding. No love lost!

Offered half tuition. My best offer so far! I have two years of foreign experience, and prior research.

To the POLIS poster below - I don't think the department has told anyone who has been nominated for funding. It hasn't come up on here or the Student Room. Did you speak to the department about it? Do you think they would tell us if we ask whether or not we were nominated?

Fulbright Research Scholar, Critical Language Scholar, one publication, excellent LORs, three foreign languages, multiple internships both domestically and abroad.

Nominations for research council and Cambridge Trusts funding were sent out by the department in February. Anyone notified?

To the poster below - do you mean that the department notified people that they nominated them for funding, or that they sent out their shortlists to the Trust and Research Council?

Has anyone heard anything since the first round of acceptance emails? It's been a little over two weeks since those went out.

Application submitted on December 30. 3.45 undergrad GPA at Ivy League school, five years of field experience. No email.

I was rejected despite my strong credentials and degrees from top universities. Generic rejection letter. Good luck to other candidates.

to the Politics posters who have been rejected - I'm sorry - can I ask if you received an email regarding the Worcester scholarship prior to finding out your results?
