I focus on AI. My research interests match well with my poi. So I was strongly recommended to the committee after the informal meeting. No committee interview is required for PhD admission at UW-Madison. The admission rate is approximately 6%.

Several independent projects and research experience, two publications. They said I was a better fit for the Masters program.

LTI PhD. had an interview, 2 pre prints, 1 as a first author.

We received over 3700 applications this year and were not able to admit all competitive applicants. The Graduate Admissions Committee evaluated the applications very carefully and had to make difficult decisions, denying admission to many excellent candidates because of the limited number of available slots.

Systems group

Had interview with PI 2 weeks ago and was told they had one other candidate.

I was offered an admission to MSc though!!!!
