Baruch Hashem! The program director, Roy, emailed me with the news before the official acceptance. They are my first choice, so chances are I'll be going here. This is my second time applying for an MFA. In my first application cycle for Fall 2021, I was rejected from all eight schools I applied to, so this is straight fire. (1a/2w/2r/6p)

I got an email from the admissions committe, though I found it to be very impersonable. Dear MFA Creative Writing Applicant, I am writing to let you know that we have not been able to recommend you for admission to the Masters of Fine Arts program in Creative Writing at Syracuse University. This is a complicated judgment which depends a great deal on the abilities and opinions of those instructors here who must be able to feel that they could clearly serve the development of your writing. Their consensus not to recommend admission to the program should in no way be interpreted as a discouragement of your writing. I know this news disappoints you, and I want to express my sincere best wishes for success in your alternate plans for graduate study. Thank you for your interest in Syracuse. I checked the portal and later saw an email in my junk folder. Two rejections in one day, four total this week. Not going to lie, I really wanted to get into this one, so I'm bummed. 2a/6r/7p.
