Sociology Graduate School Admission Results

I have been admitted to sociology doctoral program. I learned this via a Skype interview with a member of the admission committee. I will get the official letter in the following days.

Received a phone call today from POI. Master's GPA = 4.0; 4 publications, 5 manuscripts under review; 12 national conference presentations; teaching experience; scholarships and fellowships, etc.

As the next part of the application process, we invite you to attend a two-day interview gathering from Thursday February 15, 2018 thru Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Accepted with funding at $16,300/year for 3 years.

Received email from the director of grad studies. No word yet on funding, but I should hear back within a month. (I had low GRE stats, but I was part of ASA honors program, work as assistant director of a sociology-based nonprofit, have a few forthcoming publications, and I'm generally a good fit for the program)

I was contacted by my POI and just had the interview today. He stated that he will recommend me to the committee.

Received email from graduate director saying I've been recommended for admission with an attached letter talking about funding.

Got full funding for 5 years! Going straight from undegrad, 3 grants, 2 publications, 2 undegrad fellowships (one at Princeton), 9 research awards.

Received M.A. elsewhere. Accepted with funding for four years.
