To the poster below: My condition is as same as you, however I haven't got any funding also should pay the tuition fees. Feel so regretful haven't contacted professors, as a top student I could have tge chance of scholarships. Have you got any fundings?

Yup, I have contacted them 2-3 weeks ago and they have responded your application will be rejected unless you have secured a supervisor.

Purdue still haven't said nadda. I've subconciously taken this as rejection, but no official word from the school is weird. Nothing besides the application confirmation email from late December, and a random out-of-nowhere happy birthday email they sent a few months ago. This is really absurd lol

4 years of professional experience, no research experience. Graduated 1st of 35 in top colombian university.

Does anyone receive anything from mechanical department?rnwhat is happening there?

Anyone emailed to UBC about the announcement date? Since we are in late May, sounds like a joke the application is still in progress.

I found on the Mechanical dept. website that the deadline for application of F16 has changed to 1 June somehow (was in Feb if I remembered it correctly). Maybe it's the reason they are still in progress as they are still accepting applications?

In one of UBC website....they told about the application review process and time-frame (IN GENERAL) in which they mentioned that """.....application letters are sent by mid-March to late May. Each year we receive up to 200 master's applications with only 40 spaces to fill. In order to give as many applicants the best possible chance at admission, we also compile a wait list. We usually make our final decisions by the end of May.....""""" I guess now is the time either for few acceptances or many more rejections.....best of luck everyone...by the way even I am waiting for my admission.
