My 3rd rejection. Now 8 programs left.

Just got the rejection. Asked me if I am interested in the master program though. I guess it is hard to jump from BS to PhD anyway... good luck to others

Still no notification about application status..... weird

I am writing to inform you that you have been placed on our waiting list for admission to our 2013 PhD in Industrial Engineeringat Columbia. Being put on our waiting list is actually a strong statement about your performance, as we expect to have an overall PhD admissions rate of less than 10%. In particular, we are impressed with your qualifications, and we hope you succeed in that, elsewhere if not here.

Hey guys, the last email said they will announce the decision by the end of Feb. 21. Has anyone heard from them yet?

Same email from admit@ieor.columbia.edu : Thank you for your interest in our PhD program. Although we have made some admissions decisions, your application is still under review. We expect to notify all applicants of their status by the close of business next Monday, February 11th. Please do not contact us regarding your status before Monday.

Received the same emails as below, and application is still under review. It seems that 5 people have got into the program, which I bet 5 has reached their target. soooooo sadddddd

Same email as the mentioned below - Some admission offers sent out, but mine is still under review. Results can be expected by Feb 11th. P.S. To the moderators: Can someone please give me (hnk) the permissions to finally post a thing or two in the waiting, etc. threads? I am, for some reason, blocked from viewing most and posting on all discussions.
