Computer Science Graduate School Admission Results

The fact that I received my admittance so late leads me to believe that I was on some sort of waitlist that I didn't know about lol. I was pretty sure that I was going to get a rejection, since so many other people got their admittance letters months ago. Anyways, I'm posting this here for people who are still holding out hope. It is still possible to get an acceptance this late in the game :)

MSCS at NYU Tandon. Received the admission after the grade of the NYU Tandon Bridge program came out 3 days ago

When do you guys think that results will come out? I didn't receive any notification and I'm international student.

I was a Fall 2020 waitlisted candidate, who re-activated the application for the Fall 2021 term. The rejection was pretty much expected due to the long wait and I'm sure Columbia must have directly rejected the Fall 2020 waitlisted applications, without even reviewing them or having a look at those profiles. This really shows the unprofessional and careless attitude of a prestigious Ivy League University like Columbia.

Is there anyone who didn't get any results? (Not even a waitlist) When do you think the results will be released?

TTPB: but if they give out results in july how can someone manage VISA and logistics? Its no point rolling out decisions in July I feel

TTPB: I don't know how many more. Im not on the committee or anything, this is all just based on my observations. In general, Columbia seems very apprehensive rejecting people before they need to.

oh I see. How many of students will get accepted at this point? (regarding international students)

The reason why Columbia is holding out so late is because they're seeing just how many of their international admitees are actually able to come to campus. I was accepted in March and they send me constant emails on updating my visa status, etc. They're just playing it as safe as possible so they don't miss any opportunities.

Is there any international student who didn't get a result yet? I didn't get any result even a waitlist..

Lol waitlisted but I seriously think is someone still waiting to accept? I suppose by now everyone must have accepted their admits and planning the logistics Columbia is making us fools. (

Waitlisted today after writing multiple strongly worded emails. This delay is ridiculous and so unprofessional for a University of Columbia's caliber. Almost seems like because they're so late with decisions, they're waitlisting individuals instead of actually making a decision right now.

TTPB: I too received a rejection today. But did you notice that the rejection is for the (MS/PhD) /PhD Track and not the MS Track?
