Urban Planning Graduate School Admission Results

Got the email this morning! Financial aid decisions come out in March.

American with 3 international degrees. Graduated top of class in my MS with a 3.99. Incredible recs. I really truly have no idea why I was not accepted. Probably because I am disabled. That really hurts my soul. So far, 4 rejections. Only 1 hope is left.

Just received a letter from the DGS congratulating for the acceptance to the program. Official letter with funding will arrive in a few days. I had an interview with faculty last Monday and 2 days later the results. Soo excited and relieved!! I can't believe it's happening! 1a/3r/3p GPA from Masters.

GPA 4 MA, GPA 4 MSc (Lond), 109 TOEFL, 2 publications, 8 conference presentations

Last recommendation letter received on 1/28 and received email saying decision will be available in 2-3 weeks. Randomly checked portal at 2am on 2/15 and was accepted!!!

Received an email about the interview on 1/9/2022. Interviewed on 1/14/2022.

I had a short time to respond to the offer (about seven to ten days), which was exceptional. I received an award of 5,000 about a month later via an email from the department. This amount increased to 7,000 about a month later. Also, pay attention to the fact that although the deadline to apply for the program is pretty late (March 15th), the admission takes place on a rolling basis. Therefore, keep in mind to apply as soon as possible if you have made your mind about it.

Notified that Autumn 2021 entering class has finally been solidified and that no spots will be opening up going forward.

After a long wait, I am finally off the waitlist! The offer was notified through a zoom chat with the admission. I wasn't sure whether my mail expressing my continued interest help the result or not, but it was still worth trying!

McGill Undergrad in Economics, 1 year of unrelated public policy research, email said positions for several students are likely to open up in the coming weeks and late in the summer.
