International Affairs Graduate School Admission Results

Recieved conditional offer via CamSIS portal on 13th Feb after moving to Awaiting Decision by BoGS on 9th Feb. No email yet.

Checked Camsis, the decision was there, but no email notification yet.

Has anyone heard back from the Graduate funding office about AHRC funding? The student registry sends the first offers out today, but will take up until July until the funding distribution process is complete!

I emailed the Graduate Funding Office last week, and they said that the funding decisions are emailed FROM 6th March 2017. I was emailing specifically about AHRC funding and do not know about the Gates Scholarships. Sorry.

To answer the question about the interview for POLIS... Yes, I was interviewed at the very beginning of March!

Interviewed with potential supervisor on 19 JAN. I already have full funding. How long do you think until the next step?

Submitted on 29/12, interview with potential supervisor on 26/01, status changed from "under review by department" to "awaiting approval by GAO" on 08/02.

Went from GAO to conditional offer today (I've already met the academic conditions, so just waiting on funding). See you on the flip side, folks.

Has anyone heard from the PhD programme at SOAS for Politics and International Studies? Anxiously awaiting, though I haven't heard of anyone receiving notification yet.

So has ANY of the POLIS PhDs heard about funding apart from the AHRC funded candidate? Is it possible for no one from a department to get any Trust funding?

So a note for the POLIS people who are waiting - I spoke to the department and not everyone has been nominated for funding. I got a place but didn't get nominated. So if you don't know if you've been nominated or not, just ask the department. If you know you've been nominated then you just have to wait and see.

Has anyone heard from PhD programmes at SOAS at all? I continue reaching out to the doctoral school, and they reach out to the department asking for a notification but nothing is coming through. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on?

Applied Jan. 4th, application portal changed to "unsuccessful" on Feb. 18th. Never invited to formal interview, but had informal interview with the potential supervisor, who agreed to supervise me within a different program at same university. Good luck to everyone else who applied!
