Has anyone received an offer from UArizona? I received an email from director of graduate stuies stating that I have a strong ranking in the application pool but they cannot give an offer to me at this time due to the funding issue, and I still have a chance to get admission but hard to predict how great the chance is. This is weird becuase I have not seen anyone received an offer from them on gradcafe.... Only a small number of people received a similar waitlist email..

Interview on Monday, March 3.

Notified using email, recommended my admission.

email from Director of Graduate Studies: "Thank you for your interest in our Ph.D. program. The selection committee has carefully reviewed your application, and we are truly impressed by your outstanding academic record. However, as you may be aware, recent uncertainties in U.S. federal funding policies have significantly impacted our admissions process. At this time, we are unable to extend an offer to you, despite your strong ranking in our applicant pool. We remain hopeful that the funding situation will become clearer in the coming weeks, allowing us to issue additional offers. We appreciate your patience during this time and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions."

a high spot on the waitlist due to the volume of applicants

Letter said that they had to be conservative on first round offers because of uncertainty in federal funding, but I may be moved off the waitlist if the situation clears up :( this is my top choice so if you're not planning to go please deny your offer so us waitlisters have a shot

They are taking 10-12 out of 498 applicants.

Email with letter attached. ~2% acceptance rate this year. Congrats to those accepted!
