Repost but the DGS told me that they have a really hard time getting decisions from people who plan to decline so just a reminder that if you can say no when you know you’re helping out your pals on the waitlist, and that’s so appreciated!!!

MFA GPA: 4.0; BA GPA: 3.98 This was day 3 of my three-day Rejection-a-Day Streak (aka Somebody Please Get This Over With Already). Got an email that my portal was updated, I checked, and I was rejected. Generic message. Congrats to those who made it in!!

MFA GPA: 4.0; BA GPA: 3.98 Day 2 of my three-day Rejection-A-Day Streak (aka Hell). This one hurt, as I felt they were a really good fit for my research interests, but alas, they didn’t feel the same. Congrats to those who got in!!

MFA GPA: 4.0; BA GPA: 3.98 Got an email that said my portal had been updated, checked, and I was rejected. 350 people applied this cycle, which is insane, so a genuine congrats to those who got in. Y’all must be serious rockstars

MFA GPA: 4.0; BA GPA: 3.98 Got an extremely kind email from the Director of Graduate Studies explaining that they thought I was a strong candidate with strong materials and that they’d be thrilled if I’d consider letting them transfer my materials to their master’s admissions committee. This one hurt, but it’s the only somewhat good news or kind rejection I’ve received this application cycle so far

I’m gonna go order DoorDash to make myself feel better. Screw this whole application process I quit. Gonna join the military.
