Graduate School Admission Results

Had discussion with a faculty regarding possibility of RA, she offered a position verbally. Got official letter from department the next day!

There are two waves of acceptances. One from CMU side which don't have interviews and one from Pitt which have interviews. I wasn't aware of this and was already questioning my life on 5th. My acceptance from Pitt came on 8th. Now I can denounce myself from this process.

B Tech in ECE from Tier-2 college. GRE was optional, but I submitted anyway. Strong SOP with a clear mention in research interests and decent LORs from both faculty and employer. Professional experience (almost 2 years) in Data Migration and Data Analysis role. Congratulations for admitted folks!

I did not send my GRE results as my Verbal was just 143. Q: 170, A: 4.0

2 years of experience as SWE, top 3 german university, one good and one very strong LoRec (did his PhD at ETH), sadly sucky GPA because I cared more about partying than grades during undergrad

Received an email from PI. Official letter of admission follows in a couple of days.

Has anyone heard back after their interview? Management Science specialization mainly

worst programme I've ever applied to: for future reference, just don't waste your money on this programme.

Accepted with some financial aid.
